• Pack in the cracks – once the pavers are placed in position, fill in the cracks with sand to minimize shifting. The simplest way to do this is to spread the sand on the pavers and use a broom to sweep them in the cracks.

• Have backup pavers – keep some extra pavers offhand in the event that the ones that set in place become damaged and need to be replaced.
