Masonry Product Spotlight: Cloud Ceramics Brick

At Bedrock Industries, we take pride in being your one-stop source for masonry products and representing some of the country’s finest brick manufacturers. Our Orlando masonry experts want to introduce you one of those brick manufacturers and why we chose to partner with them.

Cloud Ceramics was founded in 1945 after Charles Cook discovered high-quality clay that they could use to create their bricks. One year later, he, his wife, and his brother hosted a community wide dinner in which they made clear their intentions and were then able to sell corporate stock to get started.

In 1956, a large expansion was made making use of new more efficient methods of production resulting in a 403 ft tunnel kiln being created. In 2005, a new state of the art plant was developed which contributed to their production rate doubling.

Cloud Ceramics began as a family operation that was supported by their community, and today it is no different. They employ even more of their family and still have strong ties to their community.

The bricks from Cloud Ceramics are made from clay of five different colors, resulting in over 30 different brick colors. Additionally, variation comes in sizes and textures of each brick. Cloud Ceramic bricks are known for their appearance and level of manufacture quality is considered to be a “Cadillac” of the face brick industry. It’s no surprise that these vibrant bricks are used all over the country for universities, churches, restaurants, and office buildings. Because these same bricks have been used for over 70 years, they are more than capable of providing bricks for matching past projects if expansions or repairs are needed. The bricks themselves come from South Dakota clay and are regarded as more environmentally friendly than many other bricks.

Bedrock Industries is a proud partner of Cloud Ceramics, as we continue the tradition of building relationships and creating prosperity. We offer Cloud Ceramic bricks to our customers because we trust not only the contents but the creators of the bricks to offer the best bricks possible.
