Stop Those Weeds From Invading Your Pavers
Weeds can be such a pain. You take one weed out thinking it won’t grow back, but sure enough it does within the next week. What many people don’t realize is when weeds grow between pavers, it is usually due to seeds being blown from other people’s weeds. Bedrock Ready Mix would like to inform you on how to combat these problems with your Orlando pavers and live a life free of weeds:
- How to Kill Weeds: White vinegar is the one of the safest and most effective ways to eradicate these nuisances. It’s not toxic like the products you see advertised on TV, but it does have a little bit of acid so it would be wise to spray a small amount at a time. Corn gluten meal works as well because it will prevent germination.
- How to Remove Dead Weeds: A pressure washer is effective for this activity because you can get right in between the joints of the pavers. Don’t overwork it though because if you’re not careful, you can blast dirt out of the joints and even damage the surface of the pavers.
- Paving the Way: One way to prevent an attack of weeds is by installing pavers on a slant. Because weeds are more likely to grow in damp environments, make sure there isn’t water sitting on the pavers. To do this, add a slope underneath for the water to drain off.
