Using Thin Brick for Construction

Using thin brick to veneer walls, floors, and ceilings around the home, office, or workspace is an ideal way to make the space more pleasing to the eye and more durable. Thin brick can be used on both interior and exterior; they can also be used to veneer floors, and they are light enough to be able to veneer ceilings.

A thin brick veneer beats other materials such as wood and plastic due to durability. This makes thin brick ideal to veneer high-use hallways and entryways, kitchens, bathrooms, wine cellars, and patios. High-traffic areas such as restaurants and hotels are just two examples of where there is a large demand for a veneer that provides durability and is easy to clean.

Thin brick can be ½” to ¾” thick. This means that interior walls can be veneered without the need to remove existing door trims and baseboards. Another reason to choose a thin brick veneer is the fact that they can be fixed to a variety of backing substrates. The most common of these is directly adhering them to a substrate of a scratch and brown stucco system. Thin brick can also be used to veneer cement board, metal panels, concrete, poured-in-place concrete, and other cementitious substrates.

One of the main reasons to use thin bricks is to decorate a space and give it character and charm. Thin bricks are unique which is one of their many benefits. There is a wide range of colors, sizes, and textures available
